There was a challenge on one of the Facebook pouring groups, do a pour using silver gold, grey, pink and either white or black. I thought that sounded fun – but the result was a miserable fail.
My grey was too close to the black and the whole painting was dominated by those two colours. The silver is several years old and as I discovered, gone pretty lumpy. I thought I’d got lumps out but as final work shows there are lots of little lumps.
But as always its a learning experience, I would either chose white next time, or a lighter grey, or perhaps less black and grey, have them as accent colours? I might do this again just to see if i can get it better.
Some you win, some you lose 😉
Hopefully today I’m going to finish off varnishing some that I cleaned last week and maybe have another play with the fluorescent paints. I’ve some glow in the dark paints coming soon and they sound fun!
